By downloading, installing or using snapTrans, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
Software license
The currently published source code is provided under the repository's MIT License. Individual builds and third-party components may also be governed by the notices distributed with them.
Third-party services
Translation relies on an OpenAI-compatible API selected and configured by you. You are responsible for obtaining valid credentials, following the provider's terms and paying any provider charges. snapTrans does not guarantee the continued availability of third-party services.
Your responsibility
OCR, translation and generative AI output can be wrong. Do not rely on unchecked output for medical, legal, financial, safety or other high-stakes decisions. Make sure you have the right to capture and process what appears on screen.
Prohibited use
Do not use snapTrans to violate privacy, intellectual-property or other legal rights, to break the law, or to attack or abuse third-party services.
Updates and discontinuation
We may fix issues, change features or stop supporting a version. We will aim to publish material changes through this site, the repository or app release notes.
Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the software is provided “as is,” without express or implied warranties. We are not liable for indirect losses caused by use of the software, third-party downtime or incorrect output.
